Standard, Pro and Max share the same sedan body, the same HyperOS cabin and the same driver-assistance hardware. What changes between them is the battery, the motor layout and, above all, the price. The table below puts the numbers that decide the choice in one place: the China price, the battery size, the official CLTC range, and what the range becomes at 110 km/h in 20 °C with the air conditioning on Eco.
CLTC is the Chinese test cycle and is generous. We convert it to a WLTP-equivalent figure (78%) and then apply the temperature, speed and air-conditioning factors used in our range calculator, so the real-world column is what a driver should plan around, not what the brochure says.
| Trim | China price | Approx. USD | Battery | CLTC range | Real range (110 km/h, 20 °C) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SU7 Standard | ¥229,900 | ~$34,000 | 73.6 kWh | 700 km | 472 km |
| SU7 Pro | ¥249,900 | ~$37,000 | 94.3 kWh | 830 km | 560 km |
| SU7 Max | ¥299,900 | ~$45,000 | 101 kWh | 902 km | 608 km |

Is the extra range worth the extra yuan?
Going from Standard to Pro adds ¥20,000 and 130 km of CLTC range, about ¥154 per extra kilometre. Going from Pro to Max adds ¥50,000 for 72 km, about ¥694 per kilometre, which is about 4 times the price of the Pro's extra kilometres. On range alone the Pro is where the price curve bends.
That is not the whole Max story. The Max is the dual-motor car with the 897 V charging platform, so it charges faster at a good DC charger, and it is the trim our Tesla Model 3 comparison uses. If you charge at home most nights, the Standard's 700 km CLTC still gives about 472 km at 110 km/h in mild weather.
Cold weather changes the ranking less than you might expect. At 0 °C and 110 km/h with climate control on Eco, the Standard drops to about 397 km, the Pro to 470 km and the Max to 511 km. The Standard only becomes a problem if you regularly drive long distances in winter with few chargers.
SU7 Max real-world range by speed and temperature
The Max is rated 902 km CLTC, but almost nobody will see that figure. The table shows what the same engine gives for the Max at four cruising speeds and five outside temperatures, with the climate control on Eco. Read across for temperature and down for speed.
| Speed | −10 °C | 0 °C | 10 °C | 20 °C | 30 °C |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 60 km/h | 500 | 583 | 653 | 694 | 653 |
| 90 km/h | 476 | 556 | 622 | 661 | 622 |
| 110 km/h | 438 | 511 | 572 | 608 | 572 |
| 130 km/h | 390 | 456 | 510 | 542 | 510 |
Range in km. The 18–26 °C column is the most favourable; below 0 °C the battery loses the most.
SU7 Max charging cost from 20% to 80%
A Max holds 101 kWh, so 20% to 80% is 60.6 kWh in the pack and about 67.3 kWh from the wall after 90% charging efficiency. The Standard needs 48.0 kWh and the Pro 61.5 kWh for the same 60 points of charge. The cost depends almost entirely on where you plug in, which is why the table lists six typical prices.
| Where you charge | Price per kWh | SU7 Standard | SU7 Pro | SU7 Max |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| China, home | ¥0.55 | ¥26.40 | ¥33.82 | ¥37.03 |
| China, public AC | ¥1.20 | ¥57.60 | ¥73.80 | ¥80.80 |
| China, public DC | ¥1.80 | ¥86.40 | ¥110.70 | ¥121.20 |
| US, home | $0.16 | $7.68 | $9.84 | $10.77 |
| US, DC fast | $0.34 | $16.32 | $20.91 | $22.89 |
| Europe, average | €0.32 | €15.36 | €19.68 | €21.55 |

SU7 landed cost by country and trim
Outside China the trim choice interacts with import taxes. Duty and VAT scale with the car's price, so the yuan gap between the Standard and the Max grows once tariffs are applied: in Germany the ¥70,000 gap becomes €15,811. In the United States the 127.5% duty stack makes every trim expensive, and the UK adds 10% duty and 20% VAT.
The table uses one shipping estimate and each country's default rates, exactly as the import cost calculator does. It excludes registration, homologation and any importer margin.
| Country | SU7 Standard | SU7 Pro | SU7 Max | Duty and VAT |

What about the SU7 Ultra?
The Ultra is not a fourth step up the same ladder. It is a performance car at ¥529,900, with a smaller battery than the Max and a lower CLTC range (620 km). If you are choosing between Standard, Pro and Max for daily driving, the Ultra is not part of that decision. Its price, specifications and import cost are on the SU7 Ultra page.
Which trim should you pick?
- Pick the Standard if you charge at home, drive mostly in a city or region with plenty of chargers, and want the lowest entry price (¥229,900).
- Pick the Pro if you want the most range for the money: it costs ¥154 per extra CLTC kilometre over the Standard, the cheapest step on the ladder.
- Pick the Max if you want the fastest charging and the strongest acceleration, and you accept paying about ¥694 for each extra CLTC kilometre.
- Outside China, remember that a lower trim also lowers the tax bill: in the UK the Standard lands about £10,386 below the Max, and in the United States (where a private import is not currently possible) about $23,722.
