Xiaomi Reveals Crimson Red YU7 GT in Official Images Ahead of Launch

Xiaomi EV has dropped its first official studio images of the YU7 GT in a new Crimson Red exterior finish, sharpening the marketing push ahead of the performance SUV's late-May debut. Regulatory filings cited by CnEVPost peg the car at 5,015 by 2,007 by 1,597 mm on a 3,000 mm wheelbase, with a dual-motor system rated at a combined 738 kW (990 hp), a 300 km/h top speed, and 705 km of CLTC range. Carbon-ceramic brake discs and a wide-body, long-hood profile are confirmed.

Xiaomi positions the YU7 GT as a 'pure-blooded GT' tuned jointly by Chinese and European engineers using the Nürburgring Nordschleife as its benchmark, deliberately separated from the SU7 Ultra's track-record agenda. The reveal builds on May 9's report of finished GT crossovers stockpiling at the Beijing factory and the May 13 collapse of standard YU7 wait times to as little as two hours. CnEVPost still pins April YU7 deliveries at 9,876 units (down 27.16% from March), so the GT halo is arriving exactly when the YU7 nameplate needs a fresh hook above the new-generation SU7 sedan's 80,000 locked-in orders.

Releasing studio shots of a single hero color a fortnight before launch is classic premium-EV theatre — and the Crimson Red finish is clearly aimed at the same emotional register Porsche owns with Guards Red. At an expected 450,000–500,000 yuan ($66,320–$73,690), Xiaomi is undercutting a base Macan EV while claiming 990 hp and Nürburgring-tuned chassis dynamics. The GT, not Ultra, naming choice signals that Xiaomi is building a structured performance hierarchy rather than chasing a single lap-time headline.
