Xiaomi EV takes full SU7 and YU7 lineup to Shenzhen Auto Show May 29

Xiaomi EV confirmed on Friday that it will bring its entire production lineup to the 2026 Shenzhen Auto Show, which opens to media and trade visitors on May 29 and to the public May 30 through June 7 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. Headlining the booth are the two cars Xiaomi launched the night before: the 389,900 yuan YU7 GT and the 233,500 yuan YU7 Standard. They sit alongside the rebadged YU7 Long Range, the standard SU7 sedan, and the SU7 Ultra, giving Shenzhen showgoers Xiaomi's first complete six-trim display.

The timing reads as deliberate. Xiaomi cut the YU7 Standard's base price by 20,000 yuan (7.88%) on May 21 to widen its gap with the Tesla Model Y to 30,000 yuan, then crowned the lineup with the 990 hp, Nurburgring-record-holding GT for elite buyers. Putting all six trims under one roof in Shenzhen — Tesla's largest single-city market in southern China and BYD's home turf — lets Xiaomi turn last week's product blitz into walk-up foot traffic. It is also the first auto show appearance for both new YU7 variants and the first time a production GT will sit next to a Standard in the same booth, sharpening the price-ladder story for cross-shoppers.

Our take: this is Xiaomi quietly shifting from launch-event marketing to ground-game retail. The April delivery slip to 36,702 units and the YU7 queue collapse to near same-day pickup both signal that demand needs to be re-stoked at the dealer level, not just on Weibo. A nine-day Shenzhen showcase with the full ladder — 233k Standard up to 524k Ultra — is exactly how you re-prime a southern market that has been Tesla and BYD territory. Expect Lei Jun's Shenzhen stage time to lean on the GT halo and the Standard's Model Y math.
